Pan across cartoon landscape of rolling hills and countryside, ‘Mr & Mrs Blackbird’ on letterbox in treehouse. Int Tree house, 3 little blackbirds pray before bed, mother blackbird tucks them in. One of the young birds reads a book in bed and gets told off for staying awake.

Bedside clock reads 9 o’clock, cu clock face time passing. Tree house at day break. Alarm clock goes off at 5 o’clock. Young bird sneaks out of house to find the book. Bird meets a worm on the floor and gets a fright, classic cartoon running away. Bird hides behind a big toadstool and then chases after the worm down a hole, comedy fighting and arguing. Bird and worm hide from each other in broken bottles, in a flower.

Fox enters holding a placard reading ‘I’m the villain... As if you didn’t know’, good cartoon villain. Fox chases after both the bird and the worm. The bird naively tries to convince the fox to team up with him, then gets trapped.

The fox catches the bird and puts him between two slices of bread, pulls out a bottle of catsup to pour onto the sandwich. The worm tricks a bee into stinging the fox and saves the bird. Comedy jump into air after being stung, the fox falls onto his face and the bottle of catsup falls on his head, thinks the catsup is blood and thinks he’s been stabbed. Bird and the worm shake hands in partnership. Scared and sweating little bird gets back into bed.
