1a. "Enemy Planes Attack our Homeland:" B-29 American bombers attack Japan. People "determinedly" and "cheerfully" clear wreckage of bombers shot down over the Kansai area, Tokyo, Kanagawa and Shiba prefectures.
1b. "War Clouds Gather over Iwo Jima:" Two Japanese fighters take off and soldiers on Iwo Jima prepare to fire on American bomber, they scramble and uncover huge gun. Guns aimed at sky. A trail of bombs explode as they hit the ground.
1c. "Strategy on the Continent Captures Shaochow:" Japanese troops march across rural areas. Japanese soldiers in a long line past camera and out of tunnel. Ruins of bridge. Soldiers on a raft type boat firing cannon across river. Soldiers finally capture the city in China.
